Meet Your CHOODers

Welcome to the Foodsharing Economy!

All of our pre-masticatialists are of service to you by keeping their bodies, diets, and attitudes at peak performance levels so the food they prepare for you is, too.

But did you know you're also being of service to them? Yes, every CHOOD meal you purchase allows our CHOODers to keep following their dreams, and stay incredibly healthy in the process.

Every so often we'll introduce you to some of the terrific CHOODers who light up our lives and your tastebuds:

Hi, there! It's an honor to be of assistance to your daily routine. As a personal trainer, I hear stories from my clients every day about how hard it is to keep a healthy diet with their busy schedules. I'm used to helping people build their muscles, but I'm stoked to be able to use my muscles (jaw muscles, specifically:) to help others keep their diet in shape.

Bonnie Rosenstein: Dance Choreographer in North Hollywood, CA

Ever since my performance in The Nutcracker in junior high, I've always wanted to dance. So much so that I moved from Boise to Los Angeles and have dedicated my life to it. Being only nineteen years old, I still have a long way to go to fulfill my dream of being a full-time choreographer, so becoming a CHOODer has allowed me the flexibility to make my own hours.

Legacy Watson: Tennis Player

Greetings, CHOODee! What can I say, I LOVE tennis and I've been playing it for as long as I can remember. And... it's finally paying off! I recently moved up the ranks to become a semi-pro player, so until the sponsorships start being offered (fingers crossed!), I'm glad I can keep my eye on the ball (haha) and chew for you guys in the meantime. See you at the courts!

Anitha Singh: Chef

People always say that it must be wonderful to be a chef because of all the free food! The truth is, I rarely get the opportunity to taste any of the food I prepare, and by the time I've completed my day, I’m too tired to make anything for myself! That's why I love working with CHOOD-- so many tastes from all over the world! And how do I stay healthy beyond my diet? Well, when you don't find me in the kitchen, I'm usually braving steep inclines on one of the many extreme hikes close to home.

Craig Stewart: Curler

This probably comes as no surprise to you, but the sport of curling is not a full-time profession. So, when I learned that I could get paid to taste food all day, I couldn't believe it. Not only can I support my training, but as a husband of a devout vegan, I quickly became a vegan, too, but I always missed the taste of meat and dairy, Now, because I never swallow it, I can still enjoy the incredible tastes that CHOOD consistently makes, that I miss so much!

Julia Stapleton: Full-time CHOODer

Who am I? Wow, that's not an easy question to answer! I can say what I am, and that is happy. Julia Version 01 was an attorney working six to seven days a week for twelve hours each day. I was basically a robot chasing some form of vague success that was never going to be satisfied. But when my mother became ill, I had to ask myself what my priorities were, and I'm glad to say that I chose a healthier, new path. I quit my job and took care of my mother. My life calmed down. I learned to look around. I appreciated the remaining time I had with my mom. After she passed, I had become Julia Version 02, and discovered CHOOD as not just a means of income, but a way to bring health to others, and hopefully help in a small way to offer them more limited and precious time with their loved ones.

Emma Bastien: Student / Rock Climber

Can you tell I have a lust for life? My friends say I must have a sadness deficiency because I never have a sour attitude, which is pretty much true. Really, I'm just grateful-- I'm studying to get my master's degree in Nutrition, and I spend my free time mostly climbing at gyms, and (when I can find enough time to escape from my studies and CHOODing) national parks. What is there for me to complain about?

Brian Whitford: Food Chemist

"Why so serious, Brian?" you may be asking after you look at my picture! The truth is that I'm incredibly shy. As an introvert, it's hard to find a career where I can be comfortable around lots of people and follow my passion for chemistry and food. I started working for CHOOD as a CHOODer while I was getting my chemistry degree, and I was so excited to make the leap to a staff position where I now help discover the best flavor combinations for CHOOD meals! I've also managed to break out of my shyness bubble and have great friendships with my CHOOD colleagues!

Bonnie Rogers: StuntpersonDon't let my serious headshot intimidate you! This is my "I'm intensely focusing on being healthy" look! Also, it's my stunt-driving headshot, so I have to look intense. So it's a huge relief to work on CHOOD meals-- t…

Bonnie Rogers: Stuntperson

Don't let my serious headshot intimidate you! This is my "I'm intensely focusing on being healthy" look! Also, it's my stunt-driving headshot, so I have to look intense. So it's a huge relief to work on CHOOD meals-- the pressure's off and I feel like I'm part of a community. It's also a very tasty way to relax after my day job of explosions!

Robert Qillaq: Cyclist

If you ask anyone who's caught the cycling bug, all they want to do is ride all. the. time. I've caught it, and I'm proud to say that my passion is a professional cycling career! But despite what some folks may think, pro-cycling doesn't pay like a job on Wall Street. This is why I'm so grateful to have discovered a way to make a living- riding for me, and biting for you!

Jacqueline Green: Stay-at-home Mom / Long Distance Runner

I remember reading about Alicia Silverstone's support for raising her children with a diet that included premastication. I was so bewildered by her interest in it until I had my own kids and immediately understood the health benefits. At the same time (and as a newly single mom), I never thought it would be possible to work from home and spend the time I wanted to develop a strong relationship with my daughter from an early age. CHOOD gives me the chance to do that, and I'm incredibly grateful. And also in the time I save going to and from work, I can follow my passion for long-distance running. As a former champion, my priorities may have changed, but my passion for fitness has not!

Dexter Amirpour: Full-time CHOODer

I feel like I've had two lives-- one before CHOOD, and one after. I used to weigh 340lbs. I loved food. I couldn't get enough of it. It was like an addiction. I was on the fast-track to diabetes and an eventual heart-attack. But after some wake-up-calls, I turned myself around through exercise and healthy eating. One of the things that helped me ween myself off of the heavy diet was becoming a CHOODer. All the food taste without the swallowing part! Now, I'm fit as a fiddle, working at a job I enjoy and believe in!
