Meet Your CHOODers
Welcome to the Foodsharing Economy!
All of our pre-masticatialists are of service to you by keeping their bodies, diets, and attitudes at peak performance levels so the food they prepare for you is, too.
But did you know you're also being of service to them? Yes, every CHOOD meal you purchase allows our CHOODers to keep following their dreams, and stay incredibly healthy in the process.
Every so often we'll introduce you to some of the terrific CHOODers who light up our lives and your tastebuds:
Carlos Ramirez: Personal Trainer in Venice, CA
Hi, there! It's an honor to be of assistance to your daily routine. As a personal trainer, I hear stories from my clients every day about how hard it is to keep a healthy diet with their busy schedules. I'm used to helping people build their muscles, but I'm stoked to be able to use my muscles (jaw muscles, specifically:) to help others keep their diet in shape.
Bonnie Rosenstein: Dance Choreographer in North Hollywood, CA
Ever since my performance in The Nutcracker in junior high, I've always wanted to dance. So much so that I moved from Boise to Los Angeles and have dedicated my life to it. Being only nineteen years old, I still have a long way to go to fulfill my dream of being a full-time choreographer, so becoming a CHOODer has allowed me the flexibility to make my own hours.
Legacy Watson: Tennis Player
Greetings, CHOODee! What can I say, I LOVE tennis and I've been playing it for as long as I can remember. And... it's finally paying off! I recently moved up the ranks to become a semi-pro player, so until the sponsorships start being offered (fingers crossed!), I'm glad I can keep my eye on the ball (haha) and chew for you guys in the meantime. See you at the courts!
Anitha Singh: Chef
People always say that it must be wonderful to be a chef because of all the free food! The truth is, I rarely get the opportunity to taste any of the food I prepare, and by the time I've completed my day, I’m too tired to make anything for myself! That's why I love working with CHOOD-- so many tastes from all over the world! And how do I stay healthy beyond my diet? Well, when you don't find me in the kitchen, I'm usually braving steep inclines on one of the many extreme hikes close to home.
Craig Stewart: Curler
This probably comes as no surprise to you, but the sport of curling is not a full-time profession. So, when I learned that I could get paid to taste food all day, I couldn't believe it. Not only can I support my training, but as a husband of a devout vegan, I quickly became a vegan, too, but I always missed the taste of meat and dairy, Now, because I never swallow it, I can still enjoy the incredible tastes that CHOOD consistently makes, that I miss so much!
Julia Stapleton: Full-time CHOODer
Who am I? Wow, that's not an easy question to answer! I can say what I am, and that is happy. Julia Version 01 was an attorney working six to seven days a week for twelve hours each day. I was basically a robot chasing some form of vague success that was never going to be satisfied. But when my mother became ill, I had to ask myself what my priorities were, and I'm glad to say that I chose a healthier, new path. I quit my job and took care of my mother. My life calmed down. I learned to look around. I appreciated the remaining time I had with my mom. After she passed, I had become Julia Version 02, and discovered CHOOD as not just a means of income, but a way to bring health to others, and hopefully help in a small way to offer them more limited and precious time with their loved ones.
